At 5'8", I wasn’t supposed to make it. But I did. I walked into the University of Texas as the smallest guy in the room and left with a starting role, a degree, and a shot in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts.
I beat the odds not just with talent—but with work ethic, grit, and belief in myself when others doubted. That journey taught me that size doesn't determine success—mindset does. It’s a lesson I carry with me into every room I walk into.
Educator
After football, I struggled to find my identity beyond the game. For so long, being an athlete defined me—and when it ended, I was lost. Education gave me the chance to rebuild, to lead, and to find purpose in serving others.
I didn’t just become an educator—I became someone who shows students and families that they don’t have to be limited by the labels they’re given. Every day, I work to create opportunities for students to discover who they are, not who the world says they should be.
